The Last 11 weeks

The last 11 weeks have been crazy. Jonah has almost doubled his birth weight and grown at least 3 inches. Our little boy has a personality now and "talks" all the time. I never thought we would get to this point so quickly. He is sleeping through the night and we are working on taking naps in his own bed and not in my arms. His favorite place is his changing table. He smiles and plays with us in the mornings and can lay on his changing table for 30 mins playing with the shadows on the ceiling. He is starting to grab things and put them in his mouth. It's amazing to see someone discover their hands and try to figure out how they work.

This last week was by far the craziest since he was born. The holidays are always somewhat chaotic but this year was especially so. My whole family was together for Christmas. Jonah was a little over whelmed by all the new faces and clung to Nick and I. He also has a little cold so he wasn't feeling all that great. His cousins kept him entertained and I'm sure he did the same for them. He has a special bond with his Uncle Mike and stops crying when he is in his arms. It doesn't really work for anyone else.

Next week I will be going back to work and Jonah will be spending time with our friend Erin. They get along really well and she is good with him. I think they will have fun together.

  1. Kami was very excited to see her cousin and baby sister on the computer screen! Just wish she didn't have to touch the computer screen every time she saw them...
