JULY 2011

There's our boy, playing in the water again. He had a lot of fun playing with the hose. Luckily, he didn't try to drink out of it :)

 In July, I left my job at The American Red Cross to stay home with Jonah. I was also able to take care of my sweet sweet nieces three days a week. Jonah has loved having playmates! We spend a lot of time at the park where the kids can wear themselves out before nap time.

Jonah and his cousin Brooklyn are 1 month apart. They will pretty much do whatever the other one does. It's just a matter of who will do it first...

Gotta stay hydrated...

JUNE 2011

Yay for warm weather!! We had so much fun playing in the pool this summer. Jonah is definitely a water baby. He is fearless and loved splashing around in the water.

It's been a very long time since Jonah wanted to sit in his bouncy chair, but for some reason he started using it again. He might be a little big for it, but he looks so comfy:)

Playing games on the XBOX with cousin Davey is one of his favorite things to do.

It can be pretty serious business...

Jonah helped Nick pick up the sticks in the backyard!

MAY 2011

I'm not sure why, but we didn't take a lot of pictures in May. These ones are really cute though.

APRIL 2011

Happy Easter! We had an Easter egg hunt with cousins Kami and Brooklyn at Grandpa Bill's house. By the time dinner was ready, the kids were full of candy and energy!

Jonah insisted on eating the candy before finding the next egg.

Notice how he's wearing his Easter basket instead of carrying it...

...allowing his hands to be free so he can open every egg he finds.

And then shove as much candy in his mouth as possible.

Easter basket? Or candy trough?

Cousin Kami made sure Jonah and Brooklyn had a steady flow of candy. She's a good big sister/cousin.

The kids were so funny to watch! Jonah kept throwing his head back and laughing, while Brooklyn was spinning and making herself dizzy. Good times!

February and March 2011

FEBRUARY 2011
Jonah's personality has really shown itself since his 1st birthday. He is a hoot and he loves bath time. Who doesn't love baths at this age?

MARCH 2011
In March, we all got the flu. It was awful. We did however discover that I have absolutely no maternal instincts when it comes to puke. That is officially Daddy's job.:)

Nick bought Jonah his first piano keyboard. He loves it! He has played many original pieces for us and he gets pretty serious about his playing.

Did I mention that his piano has a microphone? He loves to sing!

He seems a little timid at first...

But he really gets into it. I'd say his style of singing is more hard rock at this point;D

Let's catch up, shall we?

It's been an obscene amount of time since I last posted anything. What can I say? Time flies when you have a toddler. Since we are playing catch up here, I'm not entirely sure what all happened in the 18months or so since Jonah's first birthday. Let's just start around the holidays of 2010. Consider this the first installment...

DECEMBER 2010
Going to see the lights at the Idaho Botanical Gardens has kind of become a tradition. Jonah had only been walking for about 2 months and he insisted on walking all the way up to the statue on top of the hill. In fact, I don't think we even made it up that far before everyone else was on their way down. Of coarse, he had to walk down the hill, which was a little more difficult. He actually ended up running because of...well, gravity. There were a few times we had to catch him before he went head first into the snow. He had so much fun though!

Christmas was great. Jonah had a little practice opening gifts on his birthday so he had an idea of what he was supposed to do.

The popper... This was Aunt Tessa and Uncle Garret's idea of a "payback toy". Unfortunately, it worked. He loved that thing. It's funny how toys like that just disappear after a while...

Aunt Jules is helping him with his new cell phone. Maybe now he'll leave Mom and Dad's phones alone. (yeah right!)

JANUARY 2011
Total blurr. However, I do know that Jonah discovered his love for sour gushers!

Again, I have no idea why we were at my parents house in January, but Jonah had a good time performing for everyone.

13 Months

It's been too long...I know. People weren't lying. Once your kiddo turns one they are a handful! Jonah has so much personality! He laughs and talks all the time and throws the occasional fit. He is definately testing his boundaries with us. At his 1year check-up he weighed 25lbs! He is in the 90% for weight and was in the 80% for height. He is a big boy!!

Jonah turned 1year on Oct.12th. He had a great bday party! We had a ton of family there and ate monkey cupcakes and pizza. Jonah had so much fun playing with his cousins in the backyard then eating his very own cake.

Our little man took his first steps on my bday (Oct.27th) and has been walking all over the place since! He is such a big boy now and a pro at drinking out of a sippy cup! It's so awesome to see him learning things that we do without thinking.
