Month 11

Jonah will be a year old next month!! It's crazy that it's already been that long! He has changed so much! He is such a boy! Always dirty. Even after a bath. I don't know how he does it. After wiping his face he will find something to yuck it up again. He eats mostly solid-ish food and formula. He loves pears. He also really likes yogurt, carrots, crackers, green beans, and anything Aunt Michelle feeds him because it's usually something like pie, or ice cream.

He now has 3 teeth with the 4th on it's way. Teething has been rough. He doesn't sleep or eat much when it's really hurting him, but as soon as it breaks through his gums he is back to his normal happy self.

At the end of Aug/beginning of Sept we drove to Newport, Oregon for the Dokken Family vacation. We had such a great time. Jonah did fantastic on the way there and back. He slept during his normal nap times and kept himself busy the rest of the time. Nick, Tessa, Garrett and I went crabbing and caught 20 crab! Meanwhile, Grandpa stayed with Kami, Brooklyn and Jonah. We thought we were pooped at the end of that day, but it was nothing compared to Grandpa Bill. Those kiddos tuckered him out! Jonah had a blast playing with his cousins. The weather was beautiful! We actually got to go to the beach and not freeze!

10 months

Jonah will be 10 months on Thursday, August 12th. He has two teeth on the bottom and has been working very hard on the top two. The drooling NEVER stops. He had his 9month check-up in mid-July. He is 23 lbs 2 ounces and 28 and 3/4 inches long. After Jonah peed in his face, Dr. Scott said Jonah is a "healthy kid with a strong stream." He will forever be known as the kid who peed in Dr. Scott's eyeball. He is already making his Daddy proud.

Our little boy is so smart! He can wave "bye-bye", give real hugs, make fishy faces, kiss sounds, and flip his tongue over. He can even drink from a cup...kinda. He's still working on the cup thing. His Aunties think he's a real freak of nature because he is such a happy baby. He laughs at everything especially his cousins. He thinks they are all hilarious and gets bored at home with us. He likes music and dances every time he hears some. His favorite is still "The Office" theme song. I have it set as my ring tone and he dances every time Daddy calls. We are having so much fun with him. It's awesome to see his personality develop and we think he's going to be a pretty cool kid.

9 Months!!

Jonah is 9 months old!! It's hard to believe it has been that long!! He now has two bottom front teeth. It was a lot of work getting them to come up but he did it! He has been walking too! We have been trying to get him to move his feet while we hold his hands for a long time. It's like everything "clicked" for him and he started holding our hands and walking all over the place! He has so much personality. He is always laughing and talking while moving his hands. He says "mama" and "dada" but I'm not sure if he knows what or who he's talking about.
We recently made a trip to San Diego to visit Great Grandma Kish. Jonah did AMAZING on the plane. Most people didn't even know there was a baby on board. He also did fantastic while we were staying in a hotel and his schedule got messed up. Unfortunately he had a little spill off the bed in our room. In some of the pics down below, he has a big rug burn on his nose. He was really upset but got over it pretty quickly. He's a tough kid.
The older he gets, the more fun he is. Every day he has some new trick to show us.

8 Months

It has been way too long since I've updated Jonah's blog. It's actually been 2 whole months! Time has been flying by and Jonah has been growing like crazy! We are pretty sure he is over 20lbs now. He has the chubbiest little legs!!

Jonah has some new tricks!! He just recently started crawling for Nick and I even though he has been crawling for Aunt Michelle and his cousins for a few weeks. I'm afraid he's going to be stubborn like that. He has discovered how to click his tongue! It's so cute! He is a happy little boy. He giggles at everything and watches everyone very closely. He is starting to get a little nervous with strangers. As long as he's in the arms of someone he knows he doesn't mind smiling at anyone who happens to give him some attention.

Jonah loves books and toys that make sound but is perfectly content sitting on the floor watching his cousins dance and play around him. It's fun to watch him learn things. He is working on using a sippy cup instead of a bottle. He doesn't quite have the hang of it yet but he gets the idea.

Jonah sat through a catholic wedding that started an hour late. He didn't fuss once! He is the best baby ever!
